Welcome to my portfolio.
I love learning, creativity and expression. I thrive on adventure, and I am a frequent traveler. My journeys give me plenty of stories to tell, verbally and visually. Human nature and the act of making connections inspire me. I aspire to work in an advertising agency, developing strategy for creative application.
By completing several internships, I learned diverse skills from event planning and product research to media writing, including press releases, media advisories, newsletter articles, basic web design and data presentation.
During an internship with a non-profit, I dove into editorial content, aiding in the authorship of a non-fiction novel about the organization’s history and that of its founder. For this I conducted research by perusing boardroom meeting minutes and reviewing foreign and domestic correspondence. In my senior year at St. Mary’s University, I continued to work for the organization, developing a marketing plan for the organization’s Internet cafe venture in Tunisia, North Africa.
Additionally, I have held the position of web editor for my university’s student-produced award-winning newspaper. My skills in web and graphic design were accompanied by my contribution of content to every section of the newspaper, as well as multimedia online content. During this time I was the social media coordinator for two student organizations.
I am currently living in Austin and working in digital advertising, having obtained my master’s degree in Global Marketing Communication and Advertising at Emerson College. I completed an internship in social media and digital strategy at Arnold Worldwide, where I assisted in owned, earned and paid media strategy and analysis.
